Torrington/Ingersoll Rand – Sier Bath Gear ISRA & Remediation
TERMS was retained by The Torrington Company (part of Worldwide Ingersoll Rand) to conduct the ISRA (formerly ECRA) investigation at the former Sier Bath Gear facility located in North Bergen, N.J. The site is two acres with a 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility that was used as a gear manufacturing facility for over 75 years.
The scope of work included removal and in-place abandonment of eight underground storage tanks, extensive
soil and groundwater investigation, design and installation of a free product recovery & a groundwater treatment system and ground water modeling with a granted request for a Classification Exception Area for residual (offsite) groundwater contamination.
TERMS was further contracted by Torrington to provide Operation and Maintenance of the groundwater treatment system and to conduct ongoing monitoring of on- and off- site groundwater wells.
