New Jersey Transit – Wayne Bus Maintenance Facility
TERMS was retained by New Jersey Transit to complete the oversight during the remediation of a 28-acre site located in Wayne, N.J. The remediation was conducted in conjunction with the construction of a 210,000 square foot bus maintenance facility.
The Scope of Work included oversight of the remediation of approximately 75,000 cubic yards of soil, of which 6,000 yards was remediated using soil solidification/stabilization and 69,000 yards was excavated and placed beneath impervious cover.
The project responsibilities included Health & Safety issues, air monitoring, de-watering and discharge monitoring, creation of a lined detention basin and the mitigation of four acres of disturbed wetlands, including stream encroachment issues. TERMS is currently in the process of completing the groundwater investigation and anticipates completing the remedial design for a groundwater treatment system within the year.
New Jersey Transit – Various Phase I/II & UST Investigations
TERMS has been retained by New Jersey Transit to conduct Phase I assessments, Site/
Remedial Investigations and Underground Storage Tank closures/investigations at over 30 sites throughout New Jersey.
The Scope of Work ranged from conducting Phase I assessments prior to purchasing property to removal of underground storage tanks and soil/groundwater investigation due to leaking tanks. The majority of these sites have ongoing investigations, for which TERMS is responsible.
